Profile: Foosball perceptions are a lot like dating - first impressions are everything. For the first few yeas of playing, Erik shot an open handed push from the pits and never developed a front game...so despite his gradual transition into one of Colorado's premier Expert goalies, it took a while (a LONG while) for his recognition amongst peers to finally meet the level of his play.

Erik is one of the few touring regulars. He knows everyone, and seems to have a pulse on everything foosball related. Want to know who's playing with who next week? Want to know the latest 411? He's the guy who knows all! He turned Expert in style by winning a World title in AM Doubles playing some solid pits for Mark Brubaker. He was a ringer goalie in the Amateur ranks, and already has a Major National Expert Title to his name (with partner Brian Costello). He's definitely moving up in skills every tour stop, and is always a highly sought after goalie. The biggest help in his game comes from how nice he is as a person. He's always helping out friends and fellow foosers, so he gets a lot of elite level practice at his home. Once Bear moved in with him and gave him pro level practice on a regular basis, EA elevated his game...a lot. His 2 bar now consists of a set pull series that hits all the holes. His long is fast and crispy and can go around big dot. He’ll also throw in some options like deep pull kicks so you always have to keep your guard up.

The best part of Erik’s game is by far his defense. Sometimes it’s slow, sometimes it’s fast…sometimes he bails and sometimes he doesn’t. It’s smart and always gives the best players fits. He rarely gets hammered, and it’s the norm for his partners to get enough chances to win the match.

As a forward, Erik has the skill set to compete, but he’s still a goalie, and doesn’t have the consistency up front. He can still usually make a brief run in singles with his defense to give him extra chances offensively. His 5 is a nice brush series that is really crispy. He prefers the wall, and can hit it STEEP, but he'll pound the lane if you refuse to let him have his favorite pass. His 3 bar is a good roller that hits the long holds really fast, but he still needs experience up front reading defenses to learn how to become an all around player.

Definitely one of the nicest foosers in the scene, EA has the foos skills to command some of the best forwards in his rank. Oh yeah, and he's a badass Rocky Mountain off roader too with his ToyTaco (Toyota Tacoma)!

Strengths: Fantastic defense that gives his forwards tons of opportunities, solid 2 bar that doesn’t turn the ball over much, great long from the back, sweet scorpion from the 2

Weaknesses: So used to blocking people well that he doesn’t respect a lot of player’s shots so expect lots of eye rolling, good skills up front but doesn’t have the experience to stay consistent up there, doesn't train seriously, roller has a tell sometimes, needs to pass more to open up his strong 2 bar
