Player Profile - Jerry Todd

Profile: Jerry's another product of the growing foosball scene that Davin has built up in Boulder. With his most recent success at the Hall of Fame Classic 2009 taking 4th with Chris James in Amateur Doubles, Jerry has solidified himself as a solid rookie goalie. He also has some strong placings at the Eck's BYP to add to his resume. That's saying a lot for a player so new to the game.

Most comfortable in the back, Jerry has developed good smart defense that almost always gets enough blocks for his forward to win. His 2 bar does a good job of clearing by moving it back and forth across the table hitting pulls and kick shots. One flaw in his 2 bar, and it's something almost all rookies have, is that he doesn't really read the zone sometimes - instead he fires off shots.

With his good defense, Jerry also does well in his singles events. Up front needs some work, but that will come with time and more practice.

Strengths: Good defense, calm nature which helps his forward stay calm

Weaknesses: Doesn't look at the holes when shooting his 2 bar, just needs more experience and time, but well on his way to being a good smart goalie.
